Rooted in Badenya, the unity of one family, the gathering brings Mandingo families across North America together for one unforgettable night.
Dancers move in graceful circles in flowing embroidered gowns, carried by the griot's song, the balafon, and the talking drum.

For 2026, our family rises together in lavender, from flowing bazin gowns and gele to embroidered boubous. Let the hall fill with one radiant color.

The Program
An Evening, Unfolding
Two celebrations in one night: the outdoor cultural dance at 6 PM, then the grand banquet from 8 PM until 2 AM.
Mamaya Cultural Outdoor Dance
The celebration opens outdoors with the traditional Mamaya circles: dancers in lavender carried by the griot, balafon, and talking drum.
Main Event & Grand Banquet
Doors open for the grand indoor celebration: reception, dinner, live music, and dancing through the night.
Celebration Ends
The festivities continue until 2:00 AM.
